Manuscript Submission Process:

Celebration Theatre does accept manuscripts for consideration in its Mainstage Season. The plays are read by our staff and evaluated on their artistic merit, message and alliance with our mission statement. For a work to be considered it must meet the following criteria:

• Works must be original and of a full and completed length. No synopsis, excerpts or plot descriptions will be accepted.
• Works must fit into the Celebration Theatre Mission Statement of providing a dynamic outlet for progressive gay and lesbian voices in contemporary theater.


To submit a play for consideration, please send the full-length work with the following materials

• A brief (one page) description of your play. This may include plot, characters, conflict, motivation for writing it. Anything you think will help us understand the world of this particular play.
• Character descriptions
• Any supporting materials such as a resume, reviews or letters of recommendation. Biographical and contact information for the playwright.


No correspondence will occur unless the manuscript has been chosen for our season.

Any materials, including the author's work, will not be returned once they have been submitted.
